Ringmer does the climate maths

Ringmer does the climate maths
Wednesday April 30th, 6.45 –8.30pm, Ringmer Community College & Sixth Form, Lewes Road, Ringmer

Ringmer Community College is hosting a film and discussion on climate change and how people, not least the college, are acting to reduce the risks to us all. Visitors will be able to see the college's extensive practical changes, for example local woodchip boiler, insulated classroom and recycled benches chosen by students. The film is Do The Math, about a reluctant campaigner who found out that if all known coal, oil and gas is burned, it would be at least five times as much as scientists say is safe for our climate. This has led to a global campaign, with churches and universities taking their money out of fossil fuel investments.

Sixth form students at Ringmer recently designed posters to give the message of the book The Burning Question

This event is a joint venture between Ringmer Community College and Transition Town Lewes Keep It In the Ground group. It is aimed at students, parents, teachers and the general public, plus visitors from Transition Town Lewes.
